Ever since my first commission for a Winnie the Pooh wedding card, I’ve been receiving a few requests to do similar Winnie the Pooh designs.
I really need to thank my cousin who requested the very first commission.

I was commissioned by my cousin recently to design her solemnisation invite. Her theme was Winnie the Pooh, so obviously I went to look at E.H Shepard’s original illustrations of the yellow bear.
After the first draft, she expressed that she liked that there were some spot colours on the card. So I decided to leave the bulk of the tree uncoloured and only coloured the motifs. This was done using a watercolour and ink. I got myself a dip pen for this project, the line quality turned out beautifully.
In theme with the wedding planner’s idea of handmade country feeling, I hand drew the map to the church. I also changed all the icons to those that could be found on the original winnie the pooh map.
The printers did not stock any of their preferred paper, so they went with a yellowed shimmering paper. It didn’t turn out too bad. So this is the front with the details.
And the back was the map to the venue.
